There are many reasons for wishing to leave the rental property when violence is involved. You may not be able to afford the rent on your single income, the residence may leave you vulnerable or you want to be close to family to help during this time in your life.

Whatever your reason, try and negotiate leaving the property with the landlord with your enforceable intervention order. At the same time, make application for an order to terminate your tenancy agreement at the local Tribunal or Magistrates Court. This will ensure you do not get stung with rent payments until a new tenant is found.
