Emergency repairs for Queensland

The landlord is required to reimburse you for any expenses incurred, up to the two weeks rent

If you decide to carry out the repairs, make sure you follow the legislation requirements (listed below) and have the repairs carried out by a suitable repairer, someone suitably trained, qualified and licensed.

The landlord must reimburse you within 7 days for the reasonable costs of making emergency repairs.  You must make a written request for reimbursement and supply the copy of the receipt/account.
